It’s been a week since Downtown Disney reopened. With the coronavirus at large, they haven’t ordered the closure of Downtown Disney. Many protocols and safety signs were set in several areas to remind customers of how to be safe while visiting during the pandemic. We asked Cast Members if they were staying open who told us they were in the clear since they are an outdoor mall. I’ve been three times since Opening Day, and it is far less crowded than that first day and on the weekends. Here are some photos of Downtown Disney’s Safety signs.

COVID Health & Safety Reminders

Before entering the lot, Covid-19 warning signs are posted at every lane. Right before the temperature check area, the signs were posted on the poles. I also saw a lot more of these safety and Covid warning signs scattered around Downtown Disney and the main area by the ticket booths.

Mask and Temp Signs

Before you enter the temperature check area, these light marquees were placed as a warning to let you know you had to wear a mask and get your temperature checked before being allowed in.

Empty Temp Check Lines in the AM

On a quieter day, there are no lines and you can just walk in. There are social distancing safety markers on the floor. As always, be mindful to keep a distance BEHIND the sign. I know it’s easy to forget with all the excitement. There are Cast Members that are there to remind you in the event it slips your mind.

K9’s Check Your Bags

Once you pass your temperature safety check, they make you hold your bags in your hand and walk through the K-9 area. What do they check for? I’m not quite sure! If you know, comment below!

Social Distancing Markers In Place

These signs are all over the parks, specifically in areas where you have to wait in line outside as well as inside shops when you are waiting in line to pay. The Cast Members are very attentive to making sure you stay behind the line with your party. Each party is supposed to wait behind the line, which in this picture, Lil Bubster Yoda is actually on the wrong side of the line!

It’s Empty Most Weekday Mornings

I loved being here, and I’m a morning person, so yes, the earlier you go, the better. One of the best parts of coming here is hanging out at the Esplanade. It’s rare you see this area so empty! Take it in while you can!
