Since COVID-19, most Disney Store’s have remained shuttered down. The Disney Outlet at the Citadel in Commerce has been open for a couple of weeks now. The Citadel Outlet is about 20 minutes away from Disneyland without any traffic. It’s outdoor, so businesses are operating with modified hours. We love visiting outlets to look for deals on any items. However, this place is more of an outlet/store as not everything is marked down.

Special Store Hours are in Place

The hours are the same all week. It’s not listed on YELP, so please take note. They are open from 11 am – 7 pm daily. People arrive more than 30 minutes before the store opens. The Cast Members told us it’s been very busy on the daily because most of the other Disney Stores are closed.

There are Lines for the Store All Day

This was the line before the store opened and it was around the corner. You might be standing in the heat for a while, so I suggest wearing a hat or bringing an umbrella. Social distancing markers were only in place for the first 3 line markers. Be mindful, as some people didn’t really distance. When you get closer to the front and inside of the store, the Cast Members make sure everyone is distancing, sometimes even asking you to separate in a certain section of the store if it gets too crowded. The CM’s told us that the lines were in place all day long, especially since the second-wave of COVID-19 closures.

Not Everything in the Store is on Sale

I thought because this was an outlet, everything was going to be marked down and on sale. Well, that was not the case. I found out that more than half of a store was just a regular ol’ Disney store, thus leaving maybe about 15-20% of the store for clearance items.

Majority of the Items There are for Kids

I would say that about 85% of this store is stocked up with items and clothing for kids. If you have little ones that love Disney, this would be a good place to take them to. Most of the customers that we saw were parents with their children. They seemed like they were having good family time together.

There are Plenty of Face Masks Available

The Disney masks range in sizes from Small to Large. Small sizes meant for children and the large masks fitting some adults. Here is a size chart they had on display that I found helpful. For perspective, I have a smaller face and can fit a medium-sized mask. However, I opted for the large size. When I first put it on, the mask HUGE and way too big, but when I washed and dried it, it shrunk by 40%. Keep that in mind when you are picking your size. The masks cost 4 for $20 or $6 each. If you don’t want them to shrink, I recommend washing them by hand and letting them air dry. I heard some mask stretchers might help too if you’re determined to fit one!

Character Themed Displays

The store displays were advertising Frozen, Spiderman and Star Wars. I feel like that is what most kids are into these days, so it makes sense for them to be pushing these products out the most! They were especially loaded on the Frozen items!

Plenty of Plush to Go Around!

No Disney Store is complete without a whole back wall of stuffed animals! There is no shortage of stuffies here! There are plenty to choose from to take home and hug! I particularly liked Bo Peep’s sheep!
