Nightmare Before Christmas is probably my new top favorite Disney movies as an adult. When I was a kid, I think there were elements about it that used to freak me out. As an adult, there is so much I can appreciate from the music to the amazing artwork. The melancholy mood and dark overtone is something that resonates with me all too well as an adult. Being in quarantine, I’ve gotten extra familiar with the movie this year, and I don’t get sick of watching it over and over. Plus, all the merchandise is so freaking incredibly amazing. I’m dedicating this post to all the plush I acquired in the past two months.

The Double-Sided Jack Pillow

This pillow was released with the Halloween merch at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney. It’s double-sided with a smiling Jack and grinning Jack. You can also find this on ShopDisney. It’s 13″ x 12″ and just one of the softest things to the touch. What is it with official Disney products sold by Disney? Their plush just seems so soft compared to some others. More into that later.

Zero Bean Bag Plush

I took Zero home from World of Disney. Also available on ShopDisney. His cute little pumpkin nose and bean bag body are so soft. I love his felt ears and chose one where they stuck up more. He’s 9″ and full of love.

Oogie’s Kids

You can find Oogie’s kids at World of Disney. The three come together as a set for $30. They are so soft to the touch. The clothing worn can almost be separated from their body. I love how they did Shock’s hair with the lace ribbon. The stitching is done beautifully and their outfits made separate from their body add an extra Disney touch.

Vampire Teddy – Disney Version

Vampire Teddy has a bean bag bottom and a flying cape. He is available at World of Disney and was on ShopDisney but is now sold out. The whites of his face are that soft plush feeling and he’s got cute little hands to hold. He’s 12″ and has a smaller body than head.

Vampire Teddy – Spirit Version

I came across this Scary Teddy at Spirit Halloween. He is bigger than the Disney version and has a fluffier belly. His face isn’t quite as soft as the Disney version, but he is bigger and has more to hold. I took this guy home for $24.99. Do you call him Vampire Teddy or Scary Teddy?

Zero Cloud Pillow

This Zero cloud pillow is from Spirit. Though his face might look a little smooshed, I had to have it. It’s Zero! The most loyal ghost dog. It’s very soft to lay your head on and the ears make for good handles to play with and get your sensory fix on.

Mayor Plush – Walgreens

I really wanted a Mayor plush and in particular the Disney one, since his head rotates. However, I found this one at Walgreens for $5.99 and snagged it. You can tell the difference between the quality because his stuffing threads poke through and try to come out and he’s not soft to the touch. The Disney version found at Downtown Disney is $23, so I told myself to try to hold off. Hot Topic also makes one for half the price and his head rotates as well. But now I got the Walgreens version so what am I gonna do, get another Mayor? Maybe.

Zero Musical Animatronic Doll

I got this Zero Animatronic Doll from Walgreens for $19.99. When you press the button on his belly, the song, “This Is Halloween” will play and his ears will fly up and down. You can check it out on my Instagram post. Though he’s not very cuddle-able or that soft, he does make a neat decor item.

Jack and Sally Poseable Plush

I haven’t opened these guys up yet, but I got them from Walgreens for $14.99 each. They have wire inside of them so you can pose them how you like. I wish their clothing was a little softer to the touch but for the price, you can’t really beat it. Their legs are bent back in this picture, but they are also filled with wire for you to do as you please.

Jack and Sally Squishmallows

Last, but surely not least, are my Jack and Sally Squishmallows! Walgreens released one of each in the stores and never got restocks. When I saw them for the first time I passed on it. Immediately, I regretted my decision because it took me forever to find them again. Well, I did and these are my FAVORITE! They are so soft and squishy and even though they are Walgreens, it feels just as soft as Disney Parks released merchandise.

So there you have it, folks, the Nightmare plush I accumulated this season. I don’t think I’m finished yet. I still need to add Pumpkin King Jack to my collection. Too bad he is now sold out on ShopDisney.
