Halloween season is among us our Disney friends! We have started to see some Halloween items trickle into ShopDisney this past week and I for one am stoked! The new Halloween Spirit Jersey was released last week and they are already sold out online. If you can’t celebrate in the parks this year, then you must celebrate at home as much as you can! The moment the jersey was released, I purchased one.
The Colors
Is the top half brown or black? When orders have started coming in, people have debated on whether the jersey is black or brown. The top half of the jersey looks pitch black in the ShopDisney photos. However, some people seem to think it’s brown. I think it’s a shade of faded black. The main colors of the jersey are orange, purple and an ivory-sort of orange. The ivory with the orange hue clashes with the black that makes it look like it’s not pitch black.
The Print
They brought the ugly Christmas sweater type pattern to Halloween this year! I like the overload of the print, it screams, “I’m Halloween Ready!” The Mickey pumpkins and ghosts are adorable! I love the expression on their faces. My favorite is the Mickey ghost with the sheet.
The Sizing
I purchased my usual size XS and this feels like it’s a tiny bit smaller than my others. I compared it with one of my other jerseys and the length seems the same, but the sleeves and cuffs look different. The jersey has not been washed yet, so maybe the difference lies there.
Glow-in-the-Dark Puff Paint
The “BOO!” is glow-in-the-dark puff paint! If you have a strong blacklight it would light up the brightest. I tried using a ceiling lamp, turning the lights off and the glow was not insanely bright. I couldn’t really catch it in the picture. However, if you take a flashlight to it and shine it on the paint, it lit up pretty good! The color of the puff paint matches that light ivory-orange hue color in the jersey.
Were you able to get this year’s Halloween jersey? Are you happy about your purchase? Do you think the jersey is brown or black? Though it seems unknown whether or not we can celebrate the spooky season in the parks, that can’t stop our Halloween Spirit!
