While the re-opening of the theme park is unclear, Downtown Disney is still underway to re-open with limited capacity on Thursday, July 9th. Wednesday is reserved as a soft-opening for Cast Members. I am planning to go on the first day. If you can’t have Disneyland, the next best thing is Downtown Disney! Here are some things you should know before going to DTD!

Temperature Checks

Before entry, guests will have their temperature checked. If your temperature is 100.4 or above, you and your party will be turned away.

Masks are Mandatory

Guests ages 2 and up MUST wear must wear a face covering at all times. This means covering your nose and mouth! I see people who let their noses hang out…whats the point of a mask then?

Limited Capacity and Social Distancing

Capacity is limited to about 30%. Place markers will be set to help with social distancing. Limited hours and different experiences are to be expected.

Parking

Limited parking will be available at the Simba lot. This is an outdoor parking lot. No covered parking areas will be available for parking. The Simba Lot is located on Disneyland Drive and Katella Avenue.

Increased Sanitization Areas

Be focused on the hand washing and hand sanitizing stations. Disney will have put some in place so make sure to wash/santizie your hands often and try not to touch your face!
