My Halloween Candy Spirit Jersey that I ordered from ShopDisney has finally arrived! This jersey is part of the Disney Parks Halloween Collection. There is one for Disneyland, a Walt Disney World version, and a bright orange child’s version as well. It took ShopDisney four days to ship it and about a week to get to me. The total wait time for this was 1.5 weeks. Wow, what can I say? Disney is really doing it up with all these Spirit Jersey’s coming out. I was trying to hold out on getting this jersey, but I had to have it. And, I am not regretting my purchase at all! This jersey is amazing!
The Front “D” Logo is Larger 😉
The front of the jersey has a flocked Mickey pumpkin (aka jack-o’-lantern) and the “D” logo is beautiful! It’s in puff glitter gold paint. This year’s “D” logo is larger than the usual “D” we see (haha, insert jokes here). Look at the pic below in comparison with last year’s Halloween Spirit Jersey. It’s not super noticeable, but I notice it! Since the front of this jersey is pretty plain, I like that the “D” is larger 😜. It stands out more.
The Flocked Print
Flocked print is a printing process where fibers are applied to an adhesive-coated surface. This is what gives it the fuzzy texture. What I like most about this jersey is the flocked print! It’s on the front with the Mickey jack-o’-lantern and all over some of the letters on the back.
The only other Spirit Jersey I own with flocked print is the “Nuts about the Holiday’s” jersey. The chipmunks are flocked. I’ve never worn it before nor washed it, so I don’t have too much experience on care for the flocked print. Like all my other jerseys, I suggest turning inside out, washing on cold, and not overloading your washer on these.
The Fabric Feels Lightweight
Online, the Spirit Jersey is described as “medium weight fabric.” I beg to differ as this jersey feels a lot lighter compared to my other Spirit Jerseys. I would say the most comparable fabric to this is my Lion King “Hakuna Matata” spirit jersey. I am not complaining, as I live in California and the summers are HOT here! This jersey being lightweight during this time of the year is perfect.
Sizing
The sizing is the same compared to my other spirit jerseys. Here is a photo of the back and I’m wearing shorts. Not too long on my 5’1″ frame, but still has that “oversized” look.
Walt Disney World Spirit Jersey Version
I’m a Disneyland gal, so of course, I buy Disneyland Spirit Jerseys. I really love the lettering/font of the classic Disneyland logo. Call it nostalgia. On this jersey, they went with a different font for “Disneyland” on the back. I have to say that I like the back of the WDW version a little bit better. Only because they have more writing on it. They have the Mickey jack-o’-lantern, the “W” with all the bats, the Mickey spiderweb, and the wormy “W”! It has slightly more detail than the Disneyland version! I like the front of the Disneyland Spirit Jersey better though since it has the classic “D” on it.
Child’s Version
How adorable is the child’s version of this jersey? It’s bright orange! Minnie’s on the front in a cute witchy outfit with flocked shoes. The “D” looks like glittery candy corn and there is a Mickey spiderweb on the back!
