Hot Topic is an online and in-store seller of “popular pop culture & music inspired” merchandise. In relation to Disney, they carry lots of Disney merchandise! Hot Topic stores are usually located inside malls, but being COVID right now, most are closed. Their online store is up and running so you can get your merch fix there! With Halloween season upon us, I am gearing up to dress up! I found these cute Nightmare Before Christmas leggings on Hot Topic’s site and had to purchase them!

Halloween and Christmas!

I’ve always adored the artistry, creativity, and concept of Nightmare Before Christmas, it is such a perfect blend of Halloween and Christmas. It’s like being able to celebrate Halloween through Christmas! What could be better than that? Seriously, how genius?

Let me just say that I am not sponsored in any way and I am just sharing my love and thoughts on what I got for myself in hopes to help others. For reference, I am 5’1″ and 105 lbs. Normally, I am between a size XS and S. I purchased a size S for both leggings.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Toys Leggings

Who can forget the iconic scene where the kids are frightened by their Christmas gifts Jack gives them? Scary Teddy and the Duck chasing the kids up the staircase while they are screaming their whits out! These leggings feature Scary Teddy, Toy Duck, Pumpkin in a Box, Cat in a Box, and more! These leggings come in sizes ranging from XS-3X. Regularly priced, they cost $26.90 but I got them on sale for about $20. It’s made of 95% cotton; 5% spandex. These leggings are good quality especially if you are comparing them to the leggings sold in Disney Parks. They are a thicker material and hold together much better.

Here is a close up of the print on them. I would suggest washing inside out with cold water and hang dry them if you want to keep the design in good condition. I’ve owned some Nike leggings in the past that I would say are very similar to these Hot Topic leggings. I had the Nike’s for a couple of years and after some washes and dries, the design got cracked. I would hate for that to happen to these.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie and Friends Leggings

Oogie Boogie! Making a burlap sack look cool AF long before the Scarecrow in Batman Begins! Such an iconic villain all stitched up full of bugs, insects, and creepy crawlies! The leggings are made out of the same material and are the same quality as the Toys leggings. I would suggest the same type of care with washing be applied to these. They run through the same size range, XS-3X. These leggings feature Oogie Boogie himself on one leg and Lock, Shock, and Barrell on the right leg.

Pardon me, I don’t have an amazing mirror setup, but here are the leggings on my frame. I am normally between a size XS and S. You don’t want to risk leggings being too tight, so I purchased a size S. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning things while most of their stores remain closed during this pandemic. The leggings fit me great. I like how they feel in the waist. The only thing is that they are long on me. Not a surprise as I am short, so if you aren’t as short as me (5’1″) no need to worry about this. I pulled them down so you can see how long they are on a shorty like me.

Some Helpful Tips

  • You can return to a local Hot Topic store for free, but your original shipping cost will not be reimbursed.
  • You can return by mail but they will deduct the shipping cost for the return from your refund.
  • Shipping is free over $50 on Hot Topic. (Thanks for this tip A!) They don’t advertise it and I was only $7 shy of free shipping. Such a bummer.
