Some Halloween merchandise made its way to Downtown Disney! It seemed busier than normal today as most of the stores were doing virtual queues within the first hour of opening! Here is a look at some of the displays and some particular items that caught my eyes.
Entry
When we arrived at 9:40 am, we were turned away by Cast Members who told us to come back when the lot opened at 9:45 am. This reminded me of Opening Day at Downtown Disney when everyone was in line hours earlier to get in and not allowed into the lot. Once we parked, the lines for the temperature and security check went by fairly fast.
Disney Home Store
We first noticed Halloween merch on display while passing the Disney Home store. I love how Disney decorates their displays. Almost all of the Mickey Halloween goodies at the Home Store were also available at the World of Disney store.
These two Halloween/Christmas stockings of Oogie Boogie and the Haunted Mansion are displayed. I hadn’t seen these before. I love the Oogie Boogie one!
Check out this new Hocus Pocus mug, with the witches on one side and Binx on the other. The mug handle looks like Binx’s tail! I keep accidentally calling Binx, Salem…does this happen to anyone else?
The Mickey light-up trick-or-treat bag and the Minnie “Be-Witching Bites!” kitchen towels are looking extra cute! The embroidery on the towels looks well-made. The “Sugar Rush” bag reminds me of that “Disney Dopamine” rush of excitement. Today was a big hit of Disney Dopamine for me with all the new merch out! It was so hard to stay focused on anything!
You can catch all my findings at the Disney Home Shop on my IGTV post here.
Disney Dress Shop
The Oogie Boogie dress is at the center display of the Disney Dress Shop along with the new Nightmare Before Christmas ears. Take a look at the details on the NBC ears. You can wear them both ways and they have bones on the band. It’s like you’re getting two ears for the price of one! Which side would you wear the most?
There was a Jack Skellington pleather cap with “Jack” written all over and the Jack fisherman’s hat is here! I’m digging the fisherman’s hat, it would be perfect in this heat. If it gets dirty, you can easily just throw it in the wash. That’s a plus for me!
The Dress Shop has Haunted Mansion merch on display! The velvet wallpaper ears had a slogan written on the inside of the headband that said, “A Ghost Will Follow You Home.” I didn’t capture a picture of that, but you can see a picture of it here. They had a “Ghost Host” cap and fedora. I didn’t get the fedora pictured, but you can catch it on my IGTV Dress Shop post.
The Sweety and Spooky ears and the Maleficent ears are also at the Dress Shop. The cute details on both these ears really add that Disney Magic Touch! I love the iridescent glitter on the Maleficent ears and her staff that is seen on the side of the band. The Halloween candy ears have “Sweet and Spooky” embroidered on the band.
This “Treat Squad” shirt felt really soft. What are you guys thinking of this new style of Mickey/Minnie eyeballs?
World of Disney
By the time we got to World of Disney, it was around 9:30 am and it was a virtual queue. They took our number down and we received a text in a little over an hour. Upon entering, the store was not too crowded. There was a Disney crew filming a segment of something near the exit. Here are the Halloween displays they had up!
In the back, middle of the store, there is a projector that changes every couple of seconds or so with different Halloween frames. I was able to capture a couple of these. I missed a Daisy one! I will be sure to get all of these next time I go! Also found Goofy and Donald Halloween Wall Posters up for decor!
Halloween Clothing
Here are some photos of the Halloween clothing on display. I like the pumpkin leggings, but am wondering why there is grey area on the back? Do you guys like this style? The classic Disney characters in Halloween costumes are so precious.
Halloween Spirit Jerseys
The only new Spirit Jersey that made it to Downtown Disney is the Halloween Candy Snacks jersey. This jersey felt lightweight compared to other spirit jerseys. There is a bright orange kids version with Minnie Mouse on front. What I love most about these jerseys is the fuzzy flocked print. The child’s size spirit jersey has a spider web incorporated on the back Disneyland logo. And, how cute is Minnie’s flocked shoes on the front? Thank you to one of my Instagram followers @mamadee_x3 for letting me know it’s called “flocked!” I did order this jersey from ShopDisney, so I will post a full blog review when it arrives.
I anticipate more Halloween merchandise to be arriving at Downtown Disney. I know that blogs have posted some release dates to be in September. We will have to just wait and see whether or not some will trickle in earlier. I love looking at all this Halloween merch, it makes me happy inside. Even though Disneyland is closed and the world is uncertain, we can still celebrate the seasons and go to Downtown Disney! If you want to see more, you can watch it on this IGTV post. Are you getting any Halloween merch? Let us know what has caught your eyes!
