Where is your favorite place to eat in the parks? I’m not just talking park food, I am talking REAL food. Like, as good quality as you can get at Disneyland, California Adventure or Downtown Disney. I’ve eaten at a couple of places now and as a foodie, I’m always on the hunt for delicious and substantial food to eat at the parks.

While I still have many places to try, thus far, my number one goes to the Grand California Craftsman Bar & Grill. The ambiance is perfect, it’s right by the hotel pool and there is table seating or comfy couch seating, which is where we sat. I like to splurge and spend one good meal at Disney when I go. One, to rest my feet and two, because when you eat quality food vs. park snacks food, you just feel better and are ready to go again! Below are some of the foods I tried that were deliciously tasty!

Maine Lobster Quesadilla – $23.00

Ingredients: Flour Tortilla, Jack, Queso Fresco, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Corn Relish, Sour Cream, and spicy Mayo

Damn this was extremely good! The serving size was perfect and the chunks of lobster inside were completely worth it. It wasn’t cheap lobster, this was real lobster and packed with ooey-gooey cheese and a warm tortilla. A quesadilla dunked into a little bit of sour cream with that corn relish and spicy mayo – what a great combo of flavors. This is by far my favorite thing I ate there. Don’t think twice and order this! Thank me later!

Cali Sliders – $21.00

Ingredients: American Wagyu Patty, Oven-roasted Tomato, Vegetable Relish, Spiced Hollandaise, Swiss, Artichoke Aïoli, and Pickled Vegetables

These little sliders were so cute and presented on the cutting board. While they were pretty good, I could pass on them. I am not a big meat eater at all, but if you are, you’d probably love them. The slider patties were thick, juicy and tender. I would give these a B rating.

Waffle-Churro Sundae – $12.00

No meal is complete without dessert!!! Look at this beautiful explosion of dessert sweetness!!! How can you say no to that? I love sweets and I couldn’t pass this one up when our server suggested it. I love desserts like this because you’re not limited to one thing. It’s like a smorgasbord and you get a little of everything. Fruit, waffles, churros, ice cream, sprinkles and these malted colorful chocolate balls. Plus the whole thing is dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate syrup. YUM! Definitely a shareable portion! I liked this dessert because it was colorful! The waffles weren’t as fluffy and neither was the churro, but any type of fluffy pastry with ice cream is going to be a banger. Although with the ratio, I think it could have used one more scoop of ice cream! This was a perfect cooling agent to our meal and ended off the dining experience perfectly.

Root Beer Float – $8.00

Ingredients: Vanilla Ice Cream, Root Beer Barrel Candy, Chantilly Cream, and a Mickey Cookie

My friend got this and on a hot day, a root beer float with a Mickey biscuit is refreshing! I bit a piece of the cookie and it tasted like a shortbread! I love the look of this and seeing Mickey on that cookie makes me happy. Personally, I always bite off the ears first, what about you?

HELPFUL TIPS BEFORE DINING

  • You can enter through Downtown Disney or through California Adventure going into the Grand Californian Hotel
  • You are leaving the parks, so upon re-entry, you will have to go through a security check again
  • They don’t take reservations
  • Check their hours – they have switched them up last minute
  • If you really want to eat this, I suggest coming near lunch time. We’ve gone before and they have RAN OUT OF FOOD
