About Disney Dopamine

Just a Gal who Loves Disney and Shopping!

Hi, I’m Melissa, born and raised in Los Angeles, and grew up as Disney Kid! From movies, TV shows, to sing-alongs, to collecting Disney Merch and going to Disneyland almost every year, you can say Disney has shaped a huge part of my life! Upon the first year of becoming an Annual Passholder before Covid, I developed an immediate obsession with EVERYTHING Disney!

I’m new to web building and just started working on this from scratch the beginning of 2020, so forgive me if some things are still a miss. I am working on it!

I originally created this site because I needed an outlet to express my Disney passion and what a better way than to do it with all of you! Once I made a Disney Instagram account, I found out that there is a happy and amazing community of Disney Lovers, just like me! Unfortunately, so many stores closed down, and passes got expensive and life got in the way, so my posting and Disneyland-ness has taken a backseat.

Why I made this blog

  • I wanted to share my Disney experiences with you! From tips and tricks to Disney photos, yummy foods to be indulged in, character experiences, SPIRIT JERSEYS, Disney Merchandise – I wanted to give you an inside look at the things I see.
  • During Covid, I was feeling stagnant and had a desire to create, so I figured I’d give web building a shot.
  • I was new to blogging and I’ve always liked to write.  I was looking for inspiration on this creative journey!
  • By no means am I claiming to be a Disney expertise, or claiming to know everything Disney! I am documenting and sharing my personal experiences and thoughts with you.

In our current social media culture, there is so much toxicity going on and negative energy. I want to be thoughtful in the intent of the content I want to create to combat that. I think of the innocent, curious, inner child in all of us that sees the world in its purest form – which I believe is pure goodness. I hope what I put out will spark the child within to touch on those happy moments in today’s reality.

Where I’m at now

  • Unfortunately, I don’t go to Disney as much as I used to, I am no longer a season pass holder, nor do I obsess and shop for much Disney merchandise anymore.
  • Life and responsibilities are the forefront of my life, and I would still like to share my experiences with you, whether that be Disney related or not.

Things are ever evolving, as am I, so hopefully this page can evolve too! If you read all of this, thanks for sticking around! Stay tuned!

Kindest, Melissa.
